Crane operator rotary telehandler

What does your working day comprise of?
As a crane operator rotary telehandler you will assist with various projects in Tilburg, Den Bosch, Waalwijk and surroundings. For example, projects such as installing chimneys, clearing debris, or placing roof tiles. You will work in shifts from 23:00 to 07:00 hrs, 07:00 to 15:00 hrs or from 15:00 to 23:00 hrs. The projects generally take place at weekends. You will work with various hoisting and auxiliary equipment and furthermore, you are also willing to occasionally assist in construction work. Every now and then, you may be deployed on projects on the railways. For example, projects such as the renovation work at Utrecht Central and Arnhem Central stations. At these locations, you will support operators with the help of a rotary telehandler.
What can you expect from the position?
You will become a member of a team of six colleagues. Four colleagues who form a team in the field of track maintenance and two colleagues who provide assistance in building construction. In addition to salary, you will receive a company car allowing you to drive to all locations. Schuurmans Helvoirt Verhuur bv considers it important to invest in its personnel and therefore offers all necessary training and courses ensuring you are able to carry out the work safely and responsibly. The salary is in accordance with the CAO Beroepsgoederenvervoer (Collective Labour Agreement for the haulage sector).

- Can you operate cranes safely, independently and responsibly?

- Are you willing to take the initiative and take on an advisory role for other operators?

What does your working day comprise of?
As a truck driver at Schuurmans Helvoirt Verhuur bv you can decide yourself when you want to start your working day. SHVbv is result-oriented. This allows you to determine your own starting time, as long as the machines are delivered within the required parameters. Schuurmans aids clients such as Dura Vermeer, BAM and Volker on construction projects in the field of earthmovers and industrial machinery.
See below a description of a typical working day at SHVbv. At 19:00 hours, the start of the off-peak period, you start your working day from your place of employment in Helvoirt. At this point you will load the aerial platform onto your trailer and drive to Groningen in your Scania truck. Because you started after rush hour, the roads are relatively quiet allowing you to arrive on time at the construction site in Groningen. After you have unloaded the earthmover you continue your route in the direction of Zwolle where you will pick up another machine for delivery in Arnhem. Upon arrival, you will first repair any defects to the machine previously reported by the client. In this case there are two defects to be dealt with; the oil level appears to be low and a broken lamp. The workshop has already supplied you with the tools required to replace the light bulb. After repairs have been carried out, you will load the machine onto your trailer and deliver it to a construction project in Arnhem. After unloading in Arnhem, you will then return to Helvoirt and park up at the site. It is 04:00 hrs and you have finished your working day.

What can you expect from the position?
You can expect a flexible and independent position within an ever-growing family business with interesting projects. The haulage is often not time-limited, allowing you to complete your working hours as you see fit. It concerns a part-time position consisting of at least 20 hours and by agreement can become a fulltime position. The remaining 20 hours involve work at the site’s workshop. Lastly, the remuneration will be in accordance with the collective labour agreement (CLA) for the haulage sector, and after a fixed-term contract you can expect a permanent position if you perform well.
